Life here is pretty laid back. There are probably 10 beach cottage businesses like the one we are staying in. Each place has less than 10 cottages and each business has a restaurant. Some have sea kayaks that you can use. There are very few people here and when you walk down the beach you might see 6 or so people swimming. The sand is not the white sand on Puquet Island but those islands are full of tourists.
The front cottage is ours. It has a big room with a king size bed in it. The bed is the best bed we have slept in on the whole trip and the pillow is the softest we've encountered.
This beach was hit by the ysunami that happened several years ago. The water destroyed the restaurant and some of the cottages even though they are up a hill away from the beach. All the other cottages along the beach were destroyed. It took them about three years to recover from the devastation. We did check out where we should head if this happens while we are here.
You can walk from one end of the beach to the other end in 30 minutes or less. Charlie drawing his famous beach art pictures.
There isn't much night life but yesterday the band arrived to set up for a gig.
The lead singer. There were probably about 25 people at the performance tonight. It seemed that anyone staying here was at the show. The music went on quite late into the night but we were good and went home early.
